Four beer flight

Schaylor Brewing Company (Shillington, PA) has a rotating selection of homemade beers. For a smaller craft brewery they do a good job offering a variety of styles, so you're bound to find something that suits your taste buds. Since this was our first time here, I wanted to try several different beers and decided to go with a flight. The flight presentation was unique with four 5-oz. samples arriving on a green hop-shaped flight board. For my flight, I ordered (from left to right) the Toasted Coconut Coffee Cream Nitro Stout, Psychological Thriller (sour), Ms. Honey (IPA w/ PA wildflower honey), and Sprinkles (DIPA). I was very excited to try Sprinkles, which is brewed with cake batter and fruity pebbles, but was very disappointed with the taste and I didn't find it enjoyable at all. For me, it was too sweet and tasted like cake gone bad. However, I enjoyed my other three beers much more and would order all of them again. It was easy to taste all of the different flavors of the stout. The nitro gave it a smooth and creamy mouth-feel. If you are a fan of coconut and coffee, this one is for you! The Psychological Sour was a classic sour style beer, with a medium sourness with a slight sweetness. Lastly, the sweetness in the PA honey infused IPA was a unique taste that I haven't tasted in an IPA before. If you are an IPA lover and want to try one that is a bit different than the norm, then I'd say definitely give this one a try!

Crab fries

When we arrived at Schaylor they were busy, but tables were available. A waiter came to our table fairly quickly to welcome us. We placed our beer order and it was brought to us in a normal amount of time. Unfortunately, we were not ready to order food just yet. It then took 45 minutes for someone else to come to our table to take our food order.

I ordered the buffalo wings and they came out extremely dry. A few of them were so dry that they weren't even edible and were basically a bone with skin on them. We also ordered the crab fries. They were not memorable. It appeared as though Schaylor's was understaffed on this day as someone from the kitchen was also running food orders to the tables which would explain why the wings were dry from being overcooked.

Hot honey ham

Todd ordered the hot honey ham sandwich. This came on a pretzel bun which sounded appealing to him. When it arrived at the table, it looked like someone had sat on it before bringing it out. There was only a mild honey mustard taste, but it did it was not spicy. The ham and cheddar cheese was ok, so it was at least edible. Overall, the beer is tasty, but in the future, we'll be having dinner elsewhere before we go for drinks.
